Here are just a few resources from the News Literacy Project you can use to identify misinformation:


1. RumorGuard

RumorGuard helps to protect against misinformation by explaining the 5 factors. Using the 5 factors of authenticity, checking sources, evidence, context, and reasoning which go hand in hand to know techniques for evaluating a claim. This site also provides popular topics in the media and proof against the claims for users to use. 

 

 

2. Checkology

Checkology is designed to educate viewers on media subjects, bias, misinformation, and more! Learning to apply critical thinking skills when confronted with a non-credible source will be useful to identify fact over fiction. This is crucial to making the entire world improve their news literacy skills!

3. Informable

Informable is a website and application created by the News Literacy Project to provide practice when scrolling or using other media platforms. This app provides games to make the process of identifying credible sources fun and a way to challenge yourself.
